Converting IRAS Data in BDF Format to NDF Format

The application NDFOUT from the INTERIM package EDRSX, (see SUN/38 and SUN/39) can be used to convert old data files in the ``Bulk Data File '' (BDF) format into NDF format suitable for use by IRAS90 and KAPPA. NDFOUT can convert both CRDD files and image files, and creates an IRAS NDF extension containing information read from the BDF descriptors. For this reason it is to be preferred to the BDF2NDF application from the CONVERT package. To start up NDFOUT, use the following commands:

  $ DSCL GO EDRSX
  EDRSX> NDFOUT
