Map Projections

 Some IRAS90 applications need information describing projections used to produce images. The following projections are recognised by IRAS90:

GNOMONIC

- Gnomonic projection.

LAMBERT

- Lambert normal equivalent cylindrical projection.

AITOFF

- Aitoff equal area projection.

ORTHOGRAPHIC

- Orthographic projection.

In addition the following pseudonyms are recognised:

TANGENT_PLANE

- Same as GNOMONIC.

CYLINDRICAL

- Same as LAMBERT.

ALL_SKY

- Same as AITOFF.

Any unambiguous abbreviation may be supplied when specifying a projection in response to a parameter prompt (case is ignored).
