Aligning Images

The application SKYALIGN can be used to align a group of images. This may be useful for instance if an image created by MAPCRDD is to be compared, pixel by pixel, with a corresponding image from the IRAS Sky Survey Atlas (ISSA). SKYALIGN uses the astrometry information stored with the image in the NDF to perform the alignment. MAPCRDD and PREPARE create such astrometry information.
